Student Environmental Development Program
(SEDP)
Length: 5 Minutes
Learn about an innovative program created by the Environmental
Protection Agency (Region III) for inner city youth. It is a community-based
program that strives to teach the next generation to be leaders
through increasing their awareness of environmental issues in their
communities. In addition, students learn job, life and critical
thinking skills while building teamwork and self-esteem so they
become more productive adults. Listen to students share how this
program has changed the way they think about their environment and
program leaders discuss goals, strategies and the long-term vision
for the program.
Produced by the Environmental Fund for Pennsylvania at the GreenWorks
Media Center.
