Supporting Environmental Education in
Pennsylvania
Length: 6 minutes
The Pennsylvania Alliance for Environmental Education is the professional
membership organization for the Commonwealth's environmental community.
PAEE is comprised of teachers in public and private schools, naturalists
in education centers and museums, employees of government agencies
as well as concerned citizens in a network that promotes environmental
literacy through teacher training, conferences, workshops and publications.
In this video, hear from past PAEE president Scott Palermo and others
about the advantages of bringing environmental issues into mainstream
school curriculums, where they provide real-life problem solving
opportunities in multiple disciplines including English, math, science
and social studies.
Produced (1997) by the Environmental
Fund for Pennsylvania for the GreenWorks for Pennsylvania television
program entitled, "Environmental
Education."
