Live Webcast Oct. 3 to Focus on Stormwater Requirements
DEP, in cooperation with the Pennsylvania State Association of Township
Supervisors, the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania,
the Governor's Center for Local Government Services and GreenWorks.tv,
will host a statewide webcast Oct. 3 to bring together local officials,
conservation districts, citizens, and business representatives to
discuss DEP's Comprehensive Stormwater Policy.
The conference will include the components and key related elements
of the stormwater policy, including information on Phase II Stormwater
regulatory requirements and presentations on the Comprehensive Policy,
General Permits, and DEP's Environmental Futures Planning process.
The webcast will originate in the auditorium of the Rachel Carson
State Office Building and be webcast live from 1-3 p.m. on www.GreenWorks.tv.
It will also be available in conference rooms in each of DEP's six
Regional Offices. Those who attend the conference at any of DEP's
offices will have an opportunity to ask questions of the presenters.

of Watershed Management Stormwater Management Program
The stormwater management program administers a grant program under
the Storm Water Management Act (Act 167) for counties to prepare watershed
plans to manage stormwater runoff from new land development activities.
Plans are implemented by municipalities through the enactment or amendment
of local ordinances.
