Alan Barak is a senior attorney and Director of the Penn Energy Project. The Penn Energy Project promotes the development of environmentally benign enterprise and the demonstration of cost-effective energy efficiency measures. Mr. Barak provides services to philanthropic and environmental interests and has represented environmental interests before agencies and courts in Pennsylvania. Since the mid 1990's Mr. Barak has coordinated teams to advise the development of "green building" projects, including the showcase 74,000-square-foot Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Harrisburg South Central Regional Office Building, the Pennsylvania Cable/Telecommunications Association historical rehab state headquarters office building, and the Harrisburg regional Wildwood Lake Environmental Center. Since 1979, Mr. Barak has appeared on panels addressing current topics in utility law and administrative practice. He staffs the Central Pennsylvania Green Building Association. He is also a member of the Sevengroup, a multi-disciplinary team of professionals focused on green development.
