Mike Fischer is the General Manager of Marketing for Building Products for Armstrong World Industries, the world’s largest manufacturer and marketer of hard surface flooring and ceiling systems. Armstrong World Industries is a 140-year-old Pennsylvania-based Fortune 500 company that recognizes the importance of protecting the environment and using resources intelligently. The company is committed to exercising environmental stewardship in dealing with customers, employees, government, and community and in meeting an obligation to future generations. In recognition of this commitment, Armstrong won the l995 Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award for business excellence. Mr. Fisher is the leader of Armstrong’s Ceiling Recycling Program, and a member of Armstrong’s Environmental Steering Committee. Mike’s outside involvement in green/sustainable issues and buildings included membership in the U.S. Green Building Council and a member of the National Institute of Building Sciences Consultative Council.
