Jim Toothaker is the Bureau Director in the Commonwealth’s Department of Environmental Protection. He co-chaired the development of the Commonwealth’s “Model Green Office Specifications”, managed the development of the documentary video “Pennsylvania’s First Green Building” and directed the completion of the Commonwealth’s “Guidelines for Creating High-Performance Green Buildings”. Mr. Toothaker also serves on the Governor’s Green Government Council and is Pennsylvania’s representative to the U.S. Green Building Council where he serves with their State and Local Government Committee. In addition, the American Institute of Architects (AIA) of Pennsylvania has appointed him as the first non-Architect to serve on their Committee On The Environment. Mr. Toothaker is one of three project managers and presenters for the United States team for Green Building challenge (GBC) 2000 to be held in the Netherlands in October of 2000.
