EFP/GreenWorks Executive Director, Tim Schlitzer will be on an expedition with five high school students and two adults to cross America by bicycle.

How I spent my summer vacation essays will take on a whole new meaning for the five students planning to embark on this 3,500 mile cross-country trip from California to New Jersey. The trip will begin on June 21st and will last 50 days

The team known as Pedalers' Express II will carry all their own equipment without a support vehicle, while camping along the way and meeting the diverse people of our country.

You can be a part of their experience and support the team by following their adventure this summer on GreenWorks.tv. They will check in with GreenWorks several times along the way to send updated pictures and record new audio clips from the road.

You can also help by making a donation to the Environmental Fund for Pennsylvania who will collect the funds so the team can present one large check to the Camden NJ Chapter of Habitat for Humanity upon their return.

You may make a secure on-line donation here or send it to the EFP office at: 1420 Walnut Street, Suite 1304, Philadelphia, PA 19102. You will receive a Pedalers' Express II t-shirt for contributions over $25 (on the back is a list of the 14 states they will ride through).
