Twelve schools submitted 25 entries to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Environmental Journalism and PSA contest . The judges selected five finalists and an Honorable Mention from the entries. The school represented by the first place finalist will receive a $2000 prize from the Pennsylvania Soft Drink Association to benefit the school’s media program. Second, third, fourth and fifth place finalists and Honorable Mention will receive $500, $400, $300, $200 and $100 prizes respectively for their school’s media program. All finalists will receive $50 gift cards from Borders Books and Music.
