GREENWORKS.TV BROADCASTS, WHY “WASTE” A COOL PLANET WEBCAST

(Philadelphia, November 1, 2000) On December 7th, 2000 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 PM EST. www.GreenWorks.tv will web cast a free, interactive program to help businesses and state and local gover nments better understand the relationship between solid waste management and climate change, and what they can do about it.

The program will include discussions with nationally recognized climate change experts, businesses reducing greenhouse gas emissions and representatives of State and Local governments that are helping to raise awareness of the climate change impacts. It is sponsored by the US Environmental Protection Agency in partnership with national solid waste and governmental organizations.

The program will also include a video introduction describing the effects of global climate change and the link between solid waste management and climate change. Panelists will discuss waste reduction and recycling success stories and finally, there will be 30 minutes allotted to viewers calls. The toll-free number will be announced on the program.
