"GREEN BUILDING INTERVIEWS"
NEW FEATURE ON GreenWorks.tv WEBSITE
Harrisburg (July 6, 2000) --GreenWorks.tv video website, at www.greenworkschannel.org,
is currently featuring a comprehensive set of interviews with sustainable
construction professionals. Many of these 22 interviews are conducted
with people who have been involved in the construction of the Department
of Environmental Protection's (DEP) Southcentral Regional Office
Building (SCROB).
The SCROB is an example of how Pennsylvania state government,
in
partnership with a private developer, made a cost-effective
"green" building. The persons involved in the use
of sustainable design and construction materials for this
building offer their viewpoints on their involvement in the
SCROB project.
Scott Horst, President of Horst, Inc. was a materials consultant
in the SCROB development, and is a consultant to state agencies
on the use of environmental materials in their projects. In
his interview, the viewer learns about his involvement in
developing a high content flyash concrete, as well as in verifying
agricultural byproduct technologies and products.
Another interview features Sonia Brock, Customer Service
Manager of Terra
Green Ceramics, Inc. The product she represents, ceramic tile,
is made of recycled glass. In her interview we learn that
recycled glass has become a popular choice for commercial
and residential installations. The lobby of the SCROB contains
Terra Green tiles.
