GREENWORKS FOR PA WINS VIDEOGRAPHER AWARD
HARRISBURG (April 26, 2000) - GreenWorks for Pennsylvania,
a television program about positive steps Pennsylvanians are
taking to help the environment, has been chosen among 2,386
entries to win The Videographer Awards 2000 competition.
A production of the Environmental Fund for Pennsylvania
(EFP), the GreenWorks episode "The Recycling Loop: Buy
Recycled" won the Award of Excellence for the exceptional
manner in which the video was written, produced, shot and
edited. The winning episode shows viewers that in order for
recycling to be truly effective, consumers must close the
circle. This means not just recycling waste but buying products
made from recycled materials.
The Videographer Awards is a national awards organization
that helps set the standards for the video production industry.
The panel of judges who deemed the GreenWorks episode to be
above industry standards are known for their extensive experience
and creativity in the video field.
"Being chosen as a winner in The Videographer Awards
2000 competition is a great honor," said Tim Schlitzer,
EFP Executive Director. "We are proud that our show allows
us an opportunity to help people understand how they can take
an active part in protecting their environmental health and
well-being."
