For more than ten years, Alan Mcaffick's been picking up aluminum cans in Beaver County... He'll pick cans up off the street, from trash bins... or wherever else he can find them.

McGaffick used to spend his recycling earnings on Christmas presents for his friends and family. But since he started donating the money to help children in Africa, his friends and family have been giving him cans as presents.

"Lot of people are helping out. People at church, people at the barber shop chorus that I belong to, friends and neighbors, and collect them along the roads and different places."

McGaffick's daughter is a missionary working in Africa. After hearing about children who couldn't afford immunizations for malaria, diptheria and typhoid... McGaffick decided his recycling money would go farther overseas. With just a few hundred dollars worth of cans, he's raised enough money for nearly one thousand immunizations.
