With the purchase of two Kronosports for use in its state parks, Pennsylvania’s Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is the first conservation agency in the country to use no-emission vehicles. Since they are quiet, light, and emission free, they cause a minimal disruption to the environment, making them perfect for parks and forests. Roger Fickes, the director of state parks systems, adds, “But a cleaner environment is not the only benefit, these are the only vans we own that actually make our employees healthier.”

Governor Ridge has also been a big supporter of Kronosport. Being a bike enthusiast himself, combined with his Growing Greener plan, the Kronosport seems to be a perfect fit. “My administration has worked hard over the last six years to promote job creation, technology, tourism, environmental protection, and bicycling in Pennsylvania…it’s not often we can accomplish all five at one time, but we do through our partnership with Kronosport.”
