Many
different types of compost bins are available for sale at garden
centers and hardware stores, as well as on the internet. For
those just getting started with composting, you may find it
makes sense to simply build your own bin.
One of the simplest designs is to simply take some chicken wire that is cut 3 to 4 feet wide, wrap it into a circle about 3 feet in diameter and secure the ends. You can stake it to the ground if necessary, but once filled with compost it should be heavy enough that it doesn't blow away.
Another design is to find some free shipping pallets and use wire or nails to secure them side-by-side into an open-ended box.
