In this episode of the award-winning GreenWorks for Pennsylvania TV show, host Tom Sexton previews GreenWorks.tv, which will take the successful approach of the television show to the World Wide Web.

This episode features:

  • The PA Department of Environmental Protection's Southcentral Regional Office Building in Harrisburg-a model of "green" building through the use of sustainable design and construction materials and a prototype for future "green" state office buildings;

  • A lawnmower trade-in day sponsored by in part by the Pennsylvania Resources Council and the PA Department of Environmental Protection, where consumers in southeast Pennsylvania can trade in old gas-powered mowers for reduced prices on new electric mowers, which are produce less air pollution and are easier to use;

  • "Mission Possible"-Environmental Ed takes a high tech trip into the Mott's Applesauce plant as the PA Department of Environmental Protection conducts a "P2E2," that is, a voluntary Pollution Prevention and Energy Efficiency inspection of the plant, which allows the company to determine ways it can reduce pollution. The plant has already been certified as having attained ISO 14001 compliancy, which recognizes a high degree of pollution prevention measures in place.
