Rachel Carson was the author of Silent Spring, a book that shed light
on the dangers of pesticide use during the mid-20th century. Carson's
work has inspired scores of people, in Pennsylvania and throughout
the world.
Produced by the Environmental Fund for Pennsylvania as part of the
GreenWorks for Pennsylvania Television show entitled Southwestern
Pennsylvania Special.
