Preserving Land and Quality of Life

Length: 4 minutes

The Allegheny Land Trust preserves wild and open areas and farmland in southwestern Pennsylvania. In this segment we visited Dead Man's Hollow, a woodland area of nearly 400 acres, and spoke with volunteers who help preserve the land they love. Says ALT Executive Director Andy Loza, "Our lives are much richer for having green areas. If we grew up only knowing asphalt and concrete, the world would be a much worse place."

Produced by the Environmental Fund for Pennsylvania as part of the GreenWorks for Pennsylvania Television show entitled Southwestern Pennsylvania Special.
