Initiatives throughout Pennsylvania
that take a watershed approach to environmental protection have led
to great things: cleaner rivers and streams, safer drinking water,
and greater protection of aquatic wildlife habitats. This success
is rooted in the partnerships that local citizens have formed in their
communities. This site was created in recognition of the great work
those people are doing. |

In the Spring of 2001, groups around the state held events to
spotlight what they are doing to protect our watersheds. By clicking
on a river basin area on the map above, you can find out what groups
in that area are up to.
