Initiatives throughout Pennsylvania that take a watershed approach to environmental protection have led to great things: cleaner rivers and streams, safer drinking water, and greater protection of aquatic wildlife habitats. This success is rooted in the partnerships that local citizens have formed in their communities. This site was created in recognition of the great work those people are doing.

In the Spring of 2001, groups around the state held events to spotlight what they are doing to protect our watersheds. By clicking on a river basin area on the map above, you can find out what groups in that area are up to.
