The massive Ohio River Basin covers over 164,000 square miles within eleven states. This basin takes up over a third of Pennsylvania, and that area is only 10% of the basin's total size. Groups all over the western part of the state are studying the health and vitality of the watersheds in this area so that they can help protect it.
