The Susquehanna Basin is the largest river basin in Pennsylvania,
taking up 20,960 square miles-or nearly half the state. As the largest
source of fresh water to the Chesapeake Bay, litter and pollution
here have a major effect on aquatic life and the economy both at
home and afar. Realizing this, many groups in central Pennsylvania
are doing their part to help clean up their watersheds.
