• 52 watershed organizations formed
• 191 partnerships formed

Assessments & Information Systems
• 12 streams impacted by abandoned mine drainage identified
• 2 inventory databases created
• 3 Geographic Information System (GIS) databases developed

Restoration Activities
Mining
• 27 abandoned mine drainage (AMD) treatment systems installed
• 200 acres of abandoned mine land reclaimed
• 48.5 miles of AMD-impacted stream improved

Non-Mining
• 3 stormwater detention facilities constructed
• 142,760 pounds of trash removed
• 25,783 feet of streambank fencing installed
• 810 acres of wetlands created
• 80 trees and shrubs planted
• 1,050 feet of riparian buffer restored
• 3,752 feet of streambank stabilized

Land Preservation
• 8,807 acres of green space preserved
• 9 acres placed into conservation easement

Education & Training
• 2,830 people attended training and workshops
• 1,311 students and teachers participated in watershed education programs
