Who's Counting?
Population and Habitat in the New Millennium
Produced by the National Audubon Society, Population and Habitat
Campaign, 1997
Length: 24 minutes
This video explores the relationship between the growing human
population and declining wildlife and habitat loss around the world.
The global resource base cannot accommodate high rates of growth
and consumption indefinitely. Like a canary in a coalmine, recent
decreases in migratory birds foretell greater loss of irreplaceable
biodiversity. The video emphasizes the need to focus global attention
on finding solutions to these issues through a wide array of measures
including increased education and advocacy efforts.
